Any building that is under the jurisdiction of the Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office must still be submitted for review and approval to the Cherokee County Fire Marshal’s Office if the building is within Cherokee County.
The Cherokee County Fire Marshal’s Office will charge a review fee for all reviews as stated in the fee schedule on this website.
All plans must follow the normal submittal process for Cherokee County Fire Marshal’s Office.
Construction Reviews/Permits:
The Reviews are for Site and Building Permit plan submittals for fire and life-safety code compliance.
* If revisions are required, no charge is assessed for the first resubmittal. A $100 fee will be charged for subsequent submittals.

If the inspection fails there is a reinspection and if the reinspection fails, then there is a $150.00 reinspection fee, then after that, there will be a $200.00 reinspection fee, and the $200.00 reinspection fee is continued for each additional failed inspection afterward.
A residential subdivision requires a final plat inspection by the Cherokee County Fire Marshal's Office. If the final plat fails the inspection, then there will be a reinspection, if the reinspection fails, there will be a $150.00 re-inspection fee charged, then after that, there will be a $200.00 reinspection, the fee is continued for each additional failed inspection afterward.
There must be an inspection on all plats wanting to obtain a model home or a sales trailer permit. This inspection is must be scheduled through our office. The requirements are listed under the final plat on our website.
