Inspections - Underground

The focus of the Underground Inspection is to check that underground fire lines are properly installed in accordance with NFPA 24 and 25, AWWA Standards, and CCWSA/CCFMO Details. All completed work must comply with the approved plan. Approved plans must be on-site at all times during the construction process.

Checklist Items for This Inspection:

• Pipe sizes and types
• Pipe ground base
• Thrust block forms
• Inspection of poured thrust block
• Sprinkler riser stub out forms
• Sprinkler riser sleeve
• Hydrant assembly valve and gravel
• 2 Hr. pressure test and Underground Certification paperwork

Thie inspection for the Cherokee County Fire Marshal's Office should be called on 1 business day prior to the date of the inspection
