Blasting Permits

The way the plans have been submitted the Cherokee County Fire Marshal’s Office has changed and the plans will now be submitted online through the https://cityview.cherokeega.com/cvprodportal/ under “apply for a building permit”.

 All building and fire prevention permit inspections are scheduled through the CityView portal.

A Blasting Permit must be obtained from the Cherokee County Fire Marshal's Office prior to any blast taking place. All blasting sites must meet the requirements of Georgia 120-3-10 along with any amendments. The site is required to be inspected by a Fire Inspector from the FMO prior to blasting. Blasting Permit Applications must be submitted to our office before inspections can be scheduled. The following must be submitted along with the Blast Permit Application:

Carnival/Fair Permits

A Special Event Permit must be obtained from the Cherokee County Fire Marshal's Office prior to any Carnival or Fair taking place. Along with the Special Event Permit Application, which is required by the Development Services Center, a dimensioned site plan must be submitted and approved prior to receiving a permit. There is a $200.00 plan review fee which must be paid before the permit is released. A fire watch will be required for the duration of the event.
